Affordable Local & Emerging Art
We are a local gallery, run by a local artist for local artists. This gallery has been a dream for a long time to take my own art to the next level but at the same time providing an opportunity to other local artists. My dream is that we can promote as many local artists as we can, giving them all an opportunity to be in a gallery and get their work in front of a much larger audience.
Our Story
I myself have been an artist for a number of years now but I have always been creative. I started off in the music industry, writing music and performing in bands across the UK and Europe. However, my art has taken off more and more. Slowly becoming my career. After teaching art at college level for a couple of years as well as painting and doing craft fairs, things had grown to a level where I was bursting at the seems. The master plan... put everything I do into one physical location.
My studio (Studio Thirteen) is now based out the back of the gallery. Where I work most days creating the paintings you then see in the gallery. I also offer small workshops in various mediums from the studio/gallery too.
As soon as I saw the space though, I knew I could help others too. I went on a mission to get as many local artists involved as I could and have an ever evolving continuous exhibition of local artists, open daily to the public.
I have now quit my job teaching, moved my studio in and dedicating this next chapter of my life/career to art and more specifically the art scene of Haslemere.
My wife Britoni is the organised one! With a plethora of retail experience, communications and a career in composites she is the glue to my crazy creative brain that is bouncing around all over the place.
