Freak is Free

“Freak is Free” is a collection of artworks I created during the Spring/Summer of 2022. I was exploring the theme of Gender and Identity. The message is that being different is being free, the ultimate example of being yourself. My vision culminated in a utopia where a genderless society thrived, and everyone is treated and accepted as equal.

I started with creating a screen of a skull, a symbol of genderless human being. This became the basis of most of the paintings, either hidden in the background or shouting proud at the foreground.

I hope this collection highlight’s current themes and issues as well as highlighting where we might be heading as a society.
