The Path that Pushes Back is a truly unique piece. I found some frames I absolutely loved and decieded to try and paint to compliment the frame. What happened was it got me out of my comfort zone and away from my go to colours. I needed to get the warm yellow and golds in but also compliment the green. Its much harder than you think! 

I took my traveler character and wanted to represent that not every path is easy to walk, sometimes there are hurdles or even mountains to overcome. However, the moon is always there to guide out traveller friend. I finished this piece off with gold leaf (for the first time ever!) on the moon and highlights on the travellers hood. The rest is painted with acrylic and charcoal. 

Including the frame this piece measures - 48cm x 68cm.
